Where is Suri Cruise?

Suri Cruise has to be one of the worst names in History. It’s really not flattering at all no matter what it supposedly means. I wouldn’t name my…

The Shows that the Emmys Forgot

There is plenty of hype going around about how many award nominations 24 has received. I have to say I’m thrilled because I do love the show. However, many of my favorite shows were not as nominated as I would have liked them to be. This does not surprise me of course, but since they were not honored in the Emmy’s, I have decided to do it here.

Let’s start with the nominations for Best Actor in a Drama Series. – The Nominations Are:

Christopher Meloni as Detective Elliot Stabler • Law & Order: Special Victims Unit

Denis Leary as Tommy Gavin • Rescue Me

Peter Krause as Nate Fisher • Six Feet Under

Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer • 24

Martin Sheen as President Josiah Bartlet • The West Wing
I will admit I do not watch the majority of these shows. I am sure, on reputation alone that Martin Sheen deserves his nomination, and I have been meaning to catch Six Feet Under, but I feel two major shows and actors have been left out of this important loop.

The two, possibly three actors that I feel are missing are Bill Paxton, James Gandolfini, and possibly Matthew Fox, though I will admit I have not been keeping up on Lost as much as I would like.

Paxton was amazing this year in Big Love. I laughed, I gasped, and in short, it had all the elements I was hoping it would have before I started watching it. I am anxiously awaiting the second season. As for James, well Tony Soprano is nothing short of amazing, as always. The Sopranos is about to hit its final season and James is in top form. It would have been nice to see him receive a nod if nothing else.
Moving on, we have Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. The Nominees are:

Reality TV Lies for Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton appears as a selfish, ignorant, self-absorbed, Prada Princess, but she wants you to know that is just the girl she plays on Reality Television. While you would think Reality TV had some elements of Reality, Paris wants you to know that isn’t the case with her.

Instead of offering a piece of reality to show she isn’t a spoiled moron she created a character, that have what she calls elements of Legally Blonde meets Clueless and a rich girl rolled into one.

The immediate problem we have here is that both Elle Woods and Cher were smart girls. Both of them were also rich so that last part didn’t make any sense. Furthermore, both went to college. They didn’t drop out of high school. Paris comparing herself to either of these characters is an insult to the writers of the characters as well as the actresses who portrayed them.

Esther (Madonna) has a Secret

Esther, the pop diva, otherwise known as Madonna, is a staunch supporter of the newly popularized religion of Kabbalah. While I may not know specifics when it comes to this religion I know it was once practiced only by older, Jewish men…and now Madonna. She’s made it quite popular and has helped to make the organization larger with her presence and monetary support.

However, rumor on the street is that the support she is offering is too much. Her children do not have the chance to celebrate Christmas because the former Catholic does not allow it thanks to her new beliefs, and her husband and her are drifting apart because of Kabbalah.

Courts rule Movie Scrubbing is Illegal

Thank goodness for some sensibility. Movies are being destroyed by movie scrubbing. Without sex and bad language, what does a movie have anyway?
