Trailer & Synopsis: Gigantic Starring Paul Dano and Zooey Deschanel

Brian Weathersby (PAUL DANO) is a 28 year-old salesman at a high-end Swedish mattress company. The afterthought child to elderly parents (ED ASNER, JANE ALEXANDER), and the youngest son in a trio of successful brothers, a shady oil man (IAN ROBERTS), a surgeon (ROBERT STANTON), Brian is searching for his place in the world. Unfulfilled by his work he spends a good portion of his day pursuing his goal of someday adopting a baby from China.  He gets swept up in a romance with the lovely but misguided Harriet Lolly (ZOOEY DESCHANEL) when she comes in to his store one day and falls asleep on one of the beds. To win her over, he must compete with her bear of a father, Al Lolly, (JOHN GOODMAN) an art-collecting loudmouth with a bad back and deep pockets. GIGANTIC is a funny, surreal love story about the anxiety that comes when two people with crazy families collide unexpectedly and fall for each other.

The Limits of Control Hits Limited Theaters May 22, 2009

The Limits of Control is the new movie from filmmaker Jim Jarmusch (Broken Flowers, Down by Law). The film is set in the striking and varied landscapes of contemporary Spain (both urban and otherwise). The location shoot there united the writer/director with acclaimed cinematographer Christopher Doyle (In the Mood for Love, Paranoid Park).

Isaach De Bankolé stars in the lead role for Mr. Jarmusch; this marks the duo’s fourth collaboration over nearly two decades, following Night on Earth, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, and Coffee and Cigarettes. The Limits of Control also features several other actors with whom Mr. Jarmusch has previously worked, including Alex Descas, John Hurt, Youki Kudoh, Bill Murray, and Tilda Swinton; and actors new to his films, including Hiam Abbass, Gael García Bernal, Paz De La Huerta, Jean-François Stévenin, and Luis Tosar.

Kylie Minogue to Release Remix Collection on 1/29/2009

KYLIE MINOGUE TO RELEASE BRAND-NEW REMIX COLLECTION ON JANUARY 27th, 2009, ON ASTRALWERKS RECORDS

BOOMBOX: THE REMIX ALBUM 2000-2008 COLLECTS CLASSIC AND PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED TRACKS REMIXED BY CHEMICAL BROTHERS, FISCHERSPOONER, MYLO, AND SEBASTIEN LEGER

AUSSIE POP STAR’S 10TH STUDIO ALBUM, X, NOMINATED FOR 2009 GRAMMY AWARD FOR “BEST ELECTRONIC/DANCE ALBUM”

(New York, NY – Dec. 9th, 2008) – International pop icon Kylie Minogue will continue to rule the dancefloor with the release of a brand-new collection of remixes of her classic songs, entitled Boombox The Remix Album 2000-2008, on January 27th on Astralwerk Records. The collection features remixes by some of the world’s most sought-after producers, including Chemical Brothers, Fischerspooner, Mylo, and Sebastian Leger.

The Aussie superstar has attracted a loyal U.S. fanbase drawn to her dreamy electro-pop dancefloor fillers ever since the release of her 2001 breakout hit album Fever. She has racked up successive Billboard Club chart-toppers such as “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” the Grammy-Award winning “Come Into My World,” “Love At First Sight,” and “Slow,” all of which receive the remix treatment on Boombox. Some of these mixes have only existed as promotional vinyl 12″ singles, like “Love At First Sight” (Kid Creme Vocal Dub) and “Red Blooded Woman” (Whitey Mix), while others are highly sought-after rarities, like the much boot-legged Kylie/New Order mash-up “Can’t Get Blue Monday Out of My Head,” and previously unreleased tracks, like “The One” (Bitrocka Remix) and “Boombox” (LA Riots Remix). Now old fans and recent converts alike will be able to experience the full range of Minogue’s dancefloor catalog in all its party-starting glory.

Boombox comes on the heels of a busy 2008, which Minogue began by being honored by the Queen with an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for her services to music and winning a BRIT Award for “Best International Female Solo Artist.” In April, Minogue released her tenth studio album in the U.S., entitled X, which is her first all-new set of songs since 2003′s Body Language. The album has been nominated for a 2009 Grammy Award for “Best Electronic/Dance Album,” earning Minogue her fifth Grammy Award nomination. She also embarked on a three-month, 50-date European tour, entitled KYLIEX2008.
