I just had a baby so I’m not up for anything adventurous right now, but I think this would be a great gift for my in-laws. My father-in-law would like to do a bike tour or perhaps he and my mother-in-law might like to take a dinner cruise in NYC.

1. I would select the Earthquake Canyon Jeep Tour (Los Angeles) as a never-to-be-forgotten gift for my daughter-in-law. (Of course, she would invite my son, and maybe even me!) She is a very adventurous, free-spirited sort of person, but also disturbingly brainy, and the combination of adventure and geology education would float her boat big-time.

My first choice for an adventure would be the Dinner in the Sky event — but with prices starting at $40,000, it ain’t happening! In reality, I’d use the award towards Tandem Paragliding here in Portland, OR.
