College reviews or not, one thing I don’t often review is antiperspirant. The reason for this is that I use what I have been using for years. It works for me and that’s what I like. I use the same brand and scent nearly every time. The same goes for Dom. When shopping, I always buy him Axe. However, when the college review series was brought up we decided to accept some new antiperspirant from Certain Dri to see how it works.
I was sent a roll-on and a solid for review. I hate roll-on with a passion, so I am glad the solid was sent along with it. I tried the roll-on once, but I can’t get past the wet, stickiness of the roll-on feel in the beginning to determine how well, or not, it’s working. We had a much better response to the solid though, I am glad to report.
Certain Dri is pretty strong stuff. Like many deodorants on the market, it has been tried and tested. According to the Certain Dri documentation that I received, it’s strong enough to keep you dry for 72 hours. Unfortunately, I am going to have to take their word for that one, because I’m not skipping three showers to find out if there is any truth to that claim.
Certain Dri kept me smelling fresh and I didn’t notice any issues with wetness. Like most deodorants on the market, you pay a couple bucks and it lasts for a few weeks. The solid they sent us was going strong two weeks after I started using it daily. I imagine the roll-on works just as well, though you would have to use it to determine that for yourself.
If you’re looking for something that will keep you dry, this can certainly get the job done. The price is right and it’s a necessary product. When it comes to me personally, I was not so wowed (it is deodorant, after all) that I plan to make Certain Dri my go to deodorant. Still, when my favorite brand is not available (the local store occasionally likes to not stock my chosen scent) I have no problems about using Certain Dri as a backup.
This comes recommended as far as deodorants go. You might not use it as your favorite brand, but it’s worth looking into as a potential fall back, should you need one.
