There was only one grocery in town. We belonged to a coop and used a lot of dried beans in our cooking.
When we were close to out of food money for the semester, we’d live on fish sticks, LOL!

A group of us (4 or more) would carpool when we’d go out for pizza & beer. Not only were we saving money on gas but we would always have a designated driver (usually me).

My sister and I went to college together. We would meet at a restaurant/steakhouse with an all-you-can-eat salad bar. We would eat, study, rest, eat, study, rest… Sublime!

  7. Veronica Garrett says:

I had a microwave. I didn’t eat out or order pizza.

My tip: Make sure you have a set budget, and stick to it! Just because there’s a party next weekend doesn’t mean you should blow your budget on a new outfit or beer. Plan ahead for these things!
