No DVD list is complete without the Top Five Thriller/Horror Movies:

#11 – Alfred Hitchcock Premiere Collection

Made up of eight movies, the Alfred Hitchcock Premiere Collection includes his only Best Picture Oscar winning film, Rebecca. Additionally, seven other fantastic Hitchcock films, Lifeboat, Spellbound, Notorious, The Paradine Case, Sabotage, Young and Innocent and The Lodger make up this set. While some of the more popular, well known titles like Psycho and North by Northwest have been excluded, the movies in this set are definitely some of the most definitive of Hitchcock’s illustrious career. You can purchase this set for $59.99 at Amazon.

#12 – Psycho (Special Edition) (Universal Legacy Series)

Universal releases yet another hit in its Universal Legacy Collection, with this special edition of Psycho. Hitchcock is truly the master of horror and it shows in his most famous movie. With a talented cast that includes Anthony Perkins as the definitive Norman Bates and Janet Leigh as the eternally flawed Marion Crane, you’ll be able to enjoy this thrilling tale of deception, deceit and psychotic tendencies with the purchase of this DVD. This special edition release is available for $19.99.

#13 – Halloween (Three-Disc Unrated Collector’s Edition)

We’re of the firm belief that remakes can never live up to the quality of the original film. Since Rob Zombie’s Halloween technically isn’t a remake, we found this to be quite disturbing in its own way. If you can look at it as the different story it is, from the 1978 version by John Carpenter, then you might just find you enjoy Halloween, as much as we did. Available in a Three Disc Unrated Collector’s Edition, you can purchase this DVD at Amazon for $12.99.

#14 – Touch Of Evil (50th Anniversary Edition)

For fans of Film Noir, this is as good as it gets. Touch of Evil stars Charlton Heston, Janet Leigh and Orson Welles, with Welles himself the director mastermind behind this amazing piece of film history. In it’s 50th Anniversary release, the film has been restored meticulously to near perfection. The movie comes in three versions; the preview version, the theatrical version and the restored version. You’ll get to see them all when you purchase this divine DVD for $19.99.

#15 – Child’s Play (Chucky’s 20th Birthday Edition)

Chucky’s back and better than ever as he celebrates his 20th birthday. As children of the 80s, we grew up watching and loving Chucky, so any awesome DVD edition of this film is more than welcome on our DVD shelves. If you love Chucky as much as we do, you’ll want to purchase this DVD, which shows a better quality image of Little Andy Barclay, his mom Karen, and his psychotic Good Guy Doll, who just happens to be possessed by serial rapist, Charles Lee Ray. Enjoy the adventures of Chucky and see where the series began, by picking up a copy of this for under $8.
