CULVER CITY, CALIF. (November 17, 2008) What could be safer than living next to a cop? Find out in the suspenseful thriller Lakeview Terrace, starring Oscar® and Golden Globe® Nominee Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Jumper), debuting on Blu-ray High-Def, DVD and PSP January 27, 2009 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film follows an LAPD officer who will stop at nothing to force out the couple who just moved in next door. Directed by Neil LaBute (The Wicker Man, The Shape of Things, In the Company of Men) and produced by James Lassiter and Will Smith, the all-star cast includes Patrick Wilson (TVs Angels in America, Running with Scissors), Kerry Washington (The Last King of Scotland, Mr. And Mrs. Smith), and Jay Hernandez (Hostel and Hostel: Part II). The Blu-ray Disc and DVD bonus materials include deleted scenes, commentary with Director Neil LaBute and Kerry Washington, and three making-of featurettes: An Open House, Meet Your Neighbors and Home Sweet Home. The DVD will be available for $28.96 SRP, the Blu-ray High-Def for $39.95 SRP, and the PSP for $24.94 SRP.
Synopsis:
A young couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) has just moved into their California dream home when they become the target of their next-door neighbor, who disapproves of their interracial relationship. A stern, single father, this tightly wound LAPD officer (Samuel L. Jackson) has appointed himself the watchdog of the neighborhood. His nightly foot patrols and overly watchful eyes bring comfort to some, but he becomes increasingly harassing to the newlyweds. These persistent intrusions into their lives cause the couple to fight back.
