“Bonfire of the Vanity” was a decent episode. Lots going on tonight, so rather than babble, let’s get right to it.
-Jenny moved in with Agnus. Rufus was fine with it because Agnes’ mom promised to keep an eye on her.
-Shipiro loved Dan’s “Chuck” story and agreed to write a recommendation so he could get into Yale.
-Jenny and Agnes get in a fight in front of their hopeful fashion manager. The fight lost them the last business manager that would talk to them.

-Blair cannot wait to meet her mom’s new boyfriend, Cyrus. – Needless to say, Blair feels its “inconceivable” that her mom is dating this guy.
-Chuck gets his dad a present for the Bass Industries anniversary. He buys his dad hockey game box seats, but dad shoots him down saying he has no time for hockey.
-Shipiro hooks Dan up with the editor of NY Magazine. They want Dan to do an expose on Bart Bass. If he does the story they will give him more work at NY Magazine. He hestiates to take it, but decides to do it in the end.

-Serena agrees to pose for Aaron after he leads her to Times Square and puts her on camera for everyone to see, but soon finds out that she is not the only muse that Aaron has.
-Blair has a meltdown because her mom’s boyfriend is more like Danny Devito and less like Cary Grant.
-Dan talks to Bart Bass, asking him questions and requesting a chance to shadow him. He claims he’s over writing and is looking for a new gig. Bart allows for 2 days a week of shadow time.
-Jenny and Agnes can’t get along because Agnes is a partier and Jenny is a little more responsible. She’s also tired of Agnes’ behavior. She calls the business manager back behind Agnes’ back. The business manager wants to work with Jenny alone, but he needs clearance from a parent before he can.
-Chuck is furious to find that Bart will be spending time with Dan and not him. This leads Chuck to do a little digging. He calls an intern friend at NY Magazine to uncover just what Dan is up to and he doesn’t like what he finds out.
-Cyrus wants to ruin Blair’s party by complaining about prices for flowers. He makes things worse when he decides to take her mom out to see Cindi Lauper when Blair’s party will be going on.

-Blair hates Cyrus, but her mom loves him and swears that she can trust him. so Blair gets to digging for dirt by taking him to a private lunch. He tells the tale of how he was married and went to war only to fall in love with another woman and plan to leave his wife and marry the other girl. He divorced the wife. The only reason he didn’t remain with the girl was that she died while he was gone. When mommy finds out Blair went digging, she is less than thrilled. Blair informs her that Cyrus was a cheater so she still chose a bad guy and it’s not Blair’s fault.
-Dan goes to get information from a guy on the street that knows a bit about Bass Industries. He tells him that Bass burnt down a building in 87 during some financial difficulty and once he got the insurance money it led him towards the riches that he has now.
-Agnes gets a call from the business manager by accident (the assistant calls the wrong phone) and is happy to pass along a message to Jenny about her contracts being ready. She waits till Jenny gets home and sets all her dresses on fire, kicking Jenny out and leaving her with nothing.

-Blair’s party is stuffy with the bees sitting on the couch and Serena sulking. Blair refrains from the I told you so’s, concerning Aaron. Serena meets Cyrus and finds out that Aaron is his son…he tells her that Aaron is smitten and causes her to go see him.
-Cindi lauper arrives at Blair’s party causing her to go after Cyrus after her mom’s throws him out. She finds him and realizes that he out manuevers her. She has him come up to the apartment to tell her mom the truth about Cyrus.

-Dan confronts Bart about the fire, and is about to be told about a man’s death. Chuck breaks things up and tells Bart about the magazine story. Bart offers to buy him off but Dan doesn’t want money.
-Chuck threatens Dan. Dan tells him that he’s writing the story anyway, and Chuck pleads that he doesnt do it. Dan gives Bart a story that he wrote with a Note that says, “Im sorry you should read this”.
-Serena goes to see Aaron and realizes that he’s seeing someone else. They get in a fight when he says that she can see other people. She leaves.

-Jenny says that she will come home if her dad signs the papers for her manager. She leaves when Daddy won’t sign even though she has nowhere to go. She ends up sleeping at the gallery.
-Bart has a heart to heart with Chuck. He apologizes to Chuck and informs him that he doesnt blame him for his mothers death. He says its hard because he sees so much of Chuck’s mother in him. He misses her and it makes it harder. He wants to get closer to Chuck though and wants to take him to the hockey game as planned as a first step.
-Dan thinks that Jenny should come home even if it means signing that papers. Meanwhile Jenny is telling her new manager that she will divorce her parents if that means that she can go ahead with the business.
-Blair is shocked to find out that Cyrus is moving in immediately.
-Serena heads out in a slip in an attempt to shed her Upper East Side, old money skin with Aaron. They might not be exclusive, but she does still adore him…for now.
Next week is Thanksgiving on GG and it looks to be a great show!
