Coosh Earbuds Review

I am incredibly picky about my headphones. I hate anything that messes with the sound of my music and more often than not the wrong set of headphones will do just that. I tend to buy standard headphones with or without microphone attachments because that is usually what suits my needs. Earbuds aren’t normally purchased because I find, in most cases, the sound is not as dynamic. As if that isn’t bad enough, they aren’t always the most comfortable thing to wear, when they stay in at all.

The Coosh Earbuds were sent to me for review and I tried them out as soon as they arrived. The sound was rich and full bodied when compared to other earbuds in this price range, making them worthy of purchase. There were some issues with bass being weaker than I prefer, but that is usually the case with headphones like this.

The comfort level is also supposed to be high thanks to the addition of “arms”, which wrap around your ear to hold the buds securely into place. Both the arms and the earbuds are encased in a soft plastic, which should allow for comfortable wearing for an extended amount of time.

One of the things that I initially loved about these earbuds was the bent plugin jack. The bendable jack allows the earbuds to plug into things much easier without those things being awkwardly placed. Considering most people are going to use these headphones on the go this is a major plus. It’s also something that allows the Coosh brand to stand out.

When it came to wearing these, I was not in love with them. I am not a huge fan of earbuds anyway, but these continually wanted to slip out even though they had been placed in securely. If they did stay in the whole feeling that they were pressing into my ear just got on my nerves. I could use them for an hour or two at a time, but then I just wanted them out.

While the arms help to keep the buds in and make the experience more comfortable, they also are somewhat of an eyesore. They are easy to notice thanks to the fact that they are bone white. People tend to notice them for that reason. It would be nice to see some transparent arms come out in newer versions.

That being said, this is not necessarily a negative reflection on Coosh. I would recommend them to people that like earbuds. The sound is decent for a relatively inexpensive pair of earphones. It’s some of the best that I have heard from earphones like this. Just because I don’t prefer them in my ears doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try them out. In fact, the Coosh earbuds come highly recommended. These would be great for extended wear if you are comfortable with earbuds.
