Synopsis
When Joel (Kranz) is publicly humiliated on national television by popular talk show host “Dr. Dwayne” (Hammond), he falls into a serious funk until his friends Wyatt (Thompson) and Ben (Levi) force him to join them on a cross-country road trip to smack down Dr. Dwayne. The three guys set out in Wyatt’s home-made wiener-mobile, handing out free hot dogs across America and encountering an endless array of oddballs, weirdos and losers, including loogie-hocking hippies, a flipper-fingered Walrus Boy and Ms. Isaac (McCarthy), the hottest sixth grade teacher ever!
Wieners was directed by Mark Steilen (The Settlement) and produced by Joe Dishner (TV’s “The Ghost Whisperer”, Texas Chainsaw Massacre). The cast also includes Kyle Gass who, along with Jack Black, recently headlined the feature film Tenacious D in the Pick Of Destiny. With a running time of 93 minutes, Wieners is rated R for crude and sexual humor, nudity and language.
