New York, NY (October 1st, 2007) – A regular on the controversial “Opie & Anthony” radio show, and a popular fixture on the stand-up comedy circuit, Jim Norton is back with his own brand of “cringe comedy” in Jim Norton: Monster Rain on HBO Video, October 16, 2007. The hour-long HBO special, filmed before a packed house at the historic Lincoln Theater in Washington, D.C., features Norton’s outrageous and unfiltered take on topics like dating, celebrities, prostitutes, porn and other blushworthy topics. Featuring never-before-seen and extended concert footage, Jim Norton: Monster Rain is being released just three days after its premiere on HBO.
Norton made his HBO debut in 2005 with his own edition of One Night Stand and was a cast member of the HBO comedy series Lucky Louie. He’s also been featured in The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman, Last Comic Standing and Last Call with Carlson Daly, and appeared in the blockbuster film Spider-Man. In addition, Norton has released two CDs of stand-up comedy: Yellow Discipline and Trinkets I Won Made from Gorilla Hands, and recently became a New York Times best-selling author for his bawdy journal Happy Endings: The Tales of a Meaty-Breasted Zilch.
