NFL FootballIt’s that time again, for football picks to be made. This time, we’re picking for Week Three of the NFL and the teams are all starting to get in their own grooves. With some teams playing really well (Patriots!) and other teams playing poorly (Dolphins), its time to see what these teams are made of and who is going to win and lose.

Here is my record for the previous two weeks:

Week One – 10–6
Week Two – 9–7

Sunday – September 23, 2007

Arizona (1-1) vs. Baltimore (1-1)

Wow, it’s the rival of the birdies. Both are lame, but somehow I think the pathetic Ravens will manage to beat the less than worthy Cardinals.

Winner: Baltimore Ravens

San Diego (1-1) vs. Green Bay (2-0)

San Diego lost last week, but they are generally a good team. Still their coach sucks and Green Bay has been on fire lately.

Winner: Green Bay Packers

Indianapolis (2-0) vs. Houston (2-0)

You’d think this would be a no brainer, but the Texans have actually played fairly well this season. Nevertheless, the Colts have Payton to get the job done.

Winner: Indianapolis Colts

Minnesota (1-1) vs. Kansas City (0-2)

This is a hard matchup because neither team is really that good, but I think Kansas City sucks a little bit more than Minnesota.

Winner: Minnesota Vikings

Buffalo (0-2) vs. New England (2-0)

Oh…Gee…I wonder who is going to win. What a tough decision!

Winner: New England Patriots

Miami (0-2) vs. NY Jets (0-2)

Pathetic scores for the usually good Jets. Still, I think they’ll nab their first win. When was the last time the Dolphins were good? Back when they had Dan Marino? Maybe.

Winner: NY Jets

Detroit (2-0) vs. Philadelphia (0-2)

I have to go with the hometown favorite here. They have had some mojo on the field this year. Let’s make it 3-0.

Winner: Detroit Lions

San Francisco (2-0) vs. Pittsburgh (2-0)

These are two teams that surprised me this year. I don’t exactly like either team, but I can admit they both have been playing well this season. Unfortunately, one of these teams is going to have to lose.

Winner: Pittsburgh Steelers

St. Louis (0-2) vs. Tampa Bay (1-1)
Once again this is a matchup I don’t really give two flying hoots about. The Rams pissed me off by deciding to lose when I had faith they would win and the Bucs, well…who really even likes the Bucs? Nevertheless, I don’t think I’m going to make the same mistake twice.

Winner: Tampa Bay Bucs

Jacksonville (1-1) vs. Denver (2-0)

For purely selfish reasons, I’m calling a Jacksonville upset…even though I’m not so sure it will happen.

Winner: Jacksonville Jaguars

Cleveland (1-1) vs. Oakland (0-2)

It will be embarrassing and glorifying when Oakland rips Cleveland to shreds.

Winner: Oakland Raiders

Cincinnati (1-1) vs. Seattle (1-1)

Cincinnati let me down last week against the Browns. How embarrassing is that? The Seahawks did what they were supposed to do so I’m choosing them again this week.

Winner: Seattle Seahawks

Carolina (1-1) vs. Atlanta (0-2)

It’s going to take some time for Atlanta to recover from the crap Vick put them through. The Panthers aren’t that good, but they sure beat the Falcons.

Winner: Carolina Panthers

NY Giants (0-2) vs. Washington (2-0)

Washington has been lucky for me this season. The Giants…have been pathetic.

Winner: Washington Redskins

Dallas (2-0) vs. Chicago (1-1)

I’m going to stick with Dallas this week. I’m not much of a Bears fan anyway.

Winner: Dallas Cowboys

Monday, September 24, 2007

Tennessee (1-1) vs. New Orleans (0-2)

With some southern home cookin’, a good night’s rest, and one heckuva crowd to cheer ‘em on…the Saints will reign supreme again!

Winner: New Orleans Saints

Feel free to leave your picks in the comment section prior to Sunday’s games.
