If you are a fan of Weeds then you know how it ended in Season Two. For those who don’t remember, let me refresh your memory. Nancy and Conrad were being held by U-Turn and the Armenians. Silas had the MILF weed in the back of his car and Celia was about to have him arrested. Shane was off to Pittsburgh via South America with Ms. Heart hug, Andy’s ex-girlfriend. Oh yeah, and Peter was murdered.
After having a heart attack, I wondered how I was going to wait until the next season to see this awesome show. However, I managed, and apparently I waited so patiently that Showtime decided to reward me by letting me see four episodes early, not just one. All I can say is…WOW.
Weeds really does offer it all. Shown on Monday nights before the new Showtime series, Californication, you are offered comedy, drama, action, and some sexy fun. Nancy is in a great bit of trouble this season so I am waiting eagerly to see how she gets out of it. Doug is on the road to divorce, Celia isn’t getting anything from her cash cow lesbian daughter, Isabelle, and things are all messed up in the Botwin house.
Without giving too much away you can expect some amazing things. Silas will be getting a new girlfriend, Doug will be taking a more governmental role, and Nancy has to do something to save her family as fast as she can! One thing that anyone watching the previews should know about is the neighboring town of Majestic. This new town sports a Mega-Church and drags down the property values and spirits of Agrestic.
The cast of Weeds is amazing. I have always loved Mary Louise Parker, but she is simply mind blowing as the hot yet self-destructive MILF, Nancy. Likewise, Elizabeth Perkins makes you want to stab her for her ignorance and needy behavior as the drug dependant, but holier than thou, Celia. The rest of the cast is amazing, as well including Doug (Kevin Nealon) and Andy (Dean Hodes) who are enough to keep anyone in stitches.
After becoming an addicted fan from the first moment of watching this show, I can say that things just continue to get better. I am waiting on pins and needles to find out what is going to happen. In fact, I would even venture to say that the worst thing about this show is that it ends after 30 minutes. It always seems so short. On the other hand, the anticipation makes it that much more addicting.
Taking the risk of sounding like a fan, I even love the perky, “Little Boxes” song. We find ourselves singing it quite a bit in the Evans house; especially as it comes on to begin a new episode. Like last season, you will have a chance to hear someone new sing the song each week. One week you even get a foreign performance. You might not understand the language, but you’ll know what they are saying, and if you’re like me, you’ll be singing along in English.
Here’s hoping that Weeds lasts a very long time. It has a way of making you high and keeping you there. What could be better than that?

[...] The Spiderwick Chronicles Plot The Spiderwick Chronicles contains a lot of actors I like. I’m a huge fan of Mary-Louise Parker and have been ever since her Fried Green Tomatoes days. I think she’s an exceptional actress with a versatility not often seen in Hollywood. As Helen Grace, the mother of the three children in The Spiderwick Chronicles, Parker plays a damaged, frazzled, somewhat defeated single mother. Sure, Parker has experience playing a single mother, but Helen is quite different from her performance as the drug dealing, suburban, single mother, Nancy Botwin on the hit television show, Weeds.
